This exciting safari rediscovers the wonders of Zimbabwe and its game parks like Hwange and Matobo. Combine this with game viewing in South Africa's Kruger NP, and Botswana's Chobe NP, add on the Okavango Delta and you end up with a fantastic game viewing experience.

Departing early to Kruger NP. Visit the remote northern part of the park from Satara to Pufuri. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives.

Enter Zimbabwe and travel to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. The well preserved ruins are some of the oldest and largest stome structures in Southern Africa and were built between the 11th and 14th centuries.

Travel to Matobo NP. In the afternoon explore the area on foot to see San Bushman rock paintings.

In the morning visit World's view, a spectacular vista, and the historical site of Cecil John Rhodes grave. Travel onto Zimbabwe's largest national park, Hwange. Explore the park and game view with a local guide.

Venture into Victoria Falls. Enjoy a walk through the tropical vegetation to the very edge of Vic Falls. The Falls are a magnificent sight. There are opportunities to white water raft on the Zambezi river, bungy jump or take a 'flight of angels' (own expense).

Cross the border into Botswana and set up camp on the banks of the Chobe river. In the afternoon board a game viewing cruise where you'll see pods of hippos, crocodiles and probably elephants as Chobe NP has one of the largest concentrations of elephants anywhere in Africa.

There is time for an optional (own expense) game drive in the Chobe NP before travelling onto Nata. The following day travel to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta.

Travel into the Delta via road then via mokoro (dugout canoes) poled by local guides. Being gently poled through the network of channels is an experience not to be missed. Camp on remote islands in this amazily dynamic environment and enjoy bush walks. Return to Maun on day 14.

Drive through the Kalahari desert to the Khama rhino sanctuary. This is a community based wildlife project estabilished to protect rhinos. Head out on an afternoon game drive. The next day cross back into South Africa and onto Johannesburg.
