An early start from Johannesburg, we travel through the Northern Province of Mpumalanga en route to the breathtaking Kruger National Park. This afternoon we enter the Kwa Madwala Game Reserve just south of the Kruger Park. After settling in we enjoy an evening game drive followed by local dancing and dinner. Look out for those shining eyes and keep your cameras ready! Overnight: Gazebo Game Lodge

Today we start with a morning game walk before proceeding into the Kruger National Park. We enjoy an afternoon game drive from the comfort of our Nomad Truck. On the way keep your eyes open for more wildlife. Our truck gives us a more elevated view of the park and the ability to spot big cats and other smaller game that can be hiding in the vegetation. Optional Activity: Night game drives with SANP Game Ranger (subject to availability). Overnight: SANP Camp

Today we have a full day of game viewing planned in a Kruger National Park open 4x4 vehicle. This gives you some fantastic photo opportunities so keep your eyes open for Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo, known as Africa’s ‘Big Five’ as well as many other species of animals and birds. Optional Activities: Morning walk with SANP Game Ranger, Night game drives with SANP Game Ranger (subject to availability). Overnight: SANP Camp

This morning we leave Kruger National Park on our journey back to Johannesburg. We travel along the spectacular Panorama Route. Blyde River Canyon is the 3rd largest canyon in the world, with breathtaking views of formations such as God’s Window and the Three Rondavels. We also see The Bourke’s Luck Potholes, which have been gradually eroded by the Treur River. Most groups spend this last night together at a local restaurant. Optional Activities: Morning Game Walk with SANP, Dinner in a local Restaurant. Overnight: Garden Court OR Tambo

After taking the hotel shuttle to the airport, you will board a plan and fly down to KwaZulu Natal and bustling city of Durban, which is South Africa’s largest port and a popular surf destination. On arrival in Durban, a transfer will take you to your hotel to settle in. You will have the rest of the day to explore the city. Optional Activities: City tour, Ushaka Marine world. Overnight: Garden Court South Beach

Durban is home to the famous dolphin coast and some of the world’s best Apex Predator shark diving. After meeting your guides we depart Durban and travel for about an hour and a half south towards the small beachside resort of Shelley Beach, launch point for the infamous Protea Banks, our diving destination for the next 3 days. Overnight: Dive House

Over the next three days we will have 5 dives on the Protea Banks Reef where we hope to see some of the worlds largest marine predators. Diving both North and South Pinnacles we will have the chance to collect Sand Tiger Shark teeth and explore caves, swim-throughs and tunnels. An optional Tiger and Bull Shark baited dive at Protea Banks will be offered during our stay. This dive takes place in open water, hanging in the blue whilst possible Tiger, Bull, Hammerhead and Oceanic Black-Tip sharks come in to investigate the scent trail around us. A full safety briefing and training session is included and this is a breathtaking experience. Here we will receive a conservation talk, regarding the sharks in the area, the threats to them and the work that our donation will be helping towards. Overnight: Dive House

The following two days we spend diving the equally famous Aliwal Shoal, renowned for Raggie Tooth Sharks congregating in their hundreds, dolphins, and the baited shark dive. Each morning we will travel the hour from our Dive House in Margate to the town of Umkomas, launch site for Aliwal Shoal. Over the two days we will do 3 recreational dives on the Aliwal Shoal, including the famous “Raggie Cave”. The optional baited shark dive is well worth it, with Oceanic Black-Tip Sharks gathering in large numbers and Tiger Sharks investigating the bait. The baited dive is accompanied by a photographer/videographer for a permanent record of your shark encounter. Overnight: Dive House
