Mozambican visa fee increase

The Mozambican Government has announced an increase in visa fees for all tourists to Mozambique with immediate effect.

The Mozambican Government has announced an increase in visa fees for all tourists to Mozambique with immediate effect. This comes as a result of their introduction of the biometric system - currently enforced at Maputo (Malavane) Airportand the Komatipoort border. The cost of the visas has increased to USD 82.00per person using these 2 points of entry.The remainder of the country will follow suit - dates of implementation to be advised.

Quite often when talking about game animals in AFrica poeple will mention the Big 5. The Big 5 are: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and Rhino.
Initally you think it is because of size (elephant, rhino etc) however, a leopard is not that big. A giraffe or a hippo would definately be on the list if it related to size.
It's all to do with the past when hunters set out in search of the 5 animals hardest to shoot for varying reasons. Luckily most of the hunting today is done with a camera!

 

At Victoria Falls, between February and May, more than 500 000 cubic metres of water cascade over the falls every minute. However, if you went in November - December you can virtually walk across from one side to the other! It's all to do with the rains in Angola and Zambia.
