Siobhan, firstly I would like to to say the tour was outstanding in every aspect and probably the most culturally inspiring one out of the 20 I have done… South Africa surprised me as to how beautiful a country it is and Sabi Sabi and Victoria Falls were highlights along with the Zulu dancing at Shakaland. There are many more too numerous to mention… congratulations on putting together such a rewarding tour, job well done and Siobhan I would recommend Swagman to anyone interested in going to South Africa. Kind regards

Hi Treacey, Just like to thank you, the [South African Treasure] tour was fantastic, everyone enjoyed it. Victoria Safari lodge was the best, it had decking where you were able to see the water hole where all the animals came up too. See attached photo from the pool area. Craig was the tour guide on our 15 days and he is very good at his job. Joharn was the driver he was great as well. Only one thing … it would have been nice to have another 2 day break near the end to do another safari tour. Cheers

Well we have been home a week now and it sure doesn’t seem like it! Back to reality! Thank you for organising what turned out to be a wonderful trip. Can’t call it a holiday because I feel like one now to get over our trip! We had the best time and were truly blessed with all the animals we saw, the people we met and the places we went. I must say my favourite camp has to be Elephant Bedroom but the highlight of the trip for me was the balloon flight over the Serengeti. The visits to the elephant orphanage came a close second. It was great to get a half hour with the foster elephant my niece gave me for Christmas… Twiga Tours sure is a great company and both our guides were terrific, especially TJ who accompanied us in Kenya. Really feel like we travelled with a friend not just a guide. And was so nice to meet the Manji family the night before we left Nairobi… (A) great trip and we sure got to see a lot of different types of country with the parks we travelled through as well as the countryside between the parks. Am rather pleased that you organised us to fly from Kenya to Tanzania as it would really have been a “big” day on the road. We did not have any drama with luggage, and feel maybe they were not as strict owing to there not being big numbers on each of our flights. We saw an American group that had duffle bags the size I originally bought and they had no trouble getting them on the small planes. Owing to the fact that we were under 15kg going over, I had to purchase a new suitcase to come home with all our bits and pieces. I was still under the 23kg though. Thank you again for such an enjoyable time

Hi Siobhan! Got home from our trip yesterday and we just wanted to say thank you so much for organizing our trip! Everything ran so smoothly while abroad, and it made our first trip together so much more easier and less nerve-wracking. The tour was incredible and well ran. We will definitely recommend you and Swagman to anyone we know. Once again, thanks so much. Best Regards

Hi Michelle,Well we have been back for over a week from a wonderful holiday once again. Thank you for your assistance everything worked perfectly. One thing I might say is the Tanzanian visa can be purchased at the Kenyan border for $50 not the AUS $95 we paid. Thanking you again, another satisfied customer!

I returned on 11th October after my 42 day camping tour with Nomad from Cape Town to Nairobi, plus an extra 2 and half weeks in Kenya with my family.I had a truly amazing time and my fears about my age were soon put to rest. The first half was all younger people except for myself and a 70 yr old american woman who was very experienced, the second half was all 45-70 yr olds and another 9 Aussies. Nomad provides great value for money, and whilst it was rough at times, there was nothing that I wasn’t expecting on tour, because the pre departure info was good. However, one does need local currency in all the countries to buy water, drinks, snacks etc and the lower denomination USD attract much lower exchange rates than $50-100 notes, and in some places $1 and 5 notes are not acceptable as payment for activities.

Paul & Sydney, about the Blue Train

The whole Blue Train experience was fantastic. All the staff were more than pleasant. They were polite, courteous, knowledgeable and good at their jobs. The food and accommodation were truly first class and the experience more than matched its reputation. The staff are fantastic ambassadors for South Africa, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend the trip to anyone. It is still one of the great train journeys of the world.

Wendy, about Twiga Tours

My experience… with all dealings with your company, was outstanding… (your) Tour Guides are in a ‘league of their own’ in their professionalism, knowledge and experience. As a former employer, I have always said that our ‘staff’ are our ‘weakest’ or ‘strongest’ link with our client base. You have chosen well.We all feel blessed that we were lucky to be with Twiga. When comparing notes – our experience has been far better than most.I am happy to go on record, as a very contented client.

Jambo, My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week ‘Migration Seeker’ Safari Tour… thank you for providing such a fantastic tour. It did meet more than our expectations! The Safari drivers were very professional and very knowledgeable… we felt very safe the whole time and on those roads that is quite an achievement!! Incidently, we thought the choice of Lodges was fantastic too! Please could you pass on my thanks to TJ for delivering my Twiga and Masai sword to the Stanley Hotel for our return to Nairobi. Much appreciated. Please rest assured we will definitely recommend Twiga Tours to anyone we speak to here in Australia.Thank you for the most amazing trip of my life.

P & S

Dear Siobhan and Team, Thank you for helping us with our first African safari. It is THE best holiday we have ever had and will stay in our hearts forever. The travel went smoothly. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The guides [were] knowledgeable, especially Peter and Stanley from Twiga Tours in Kenya, the food delicious with plenty of vegetarian options and the safari was great. We were fortunate to see the big cats everyday for all the 16 days we were out on safari! Leopards, Lions and Cheetahs… Botswana and the Okavango Delta were personal highlights. Vic falls was magnificent and the Migration in The Maasai Mara was stunning. Visiting Irbaan School there was a touching almost spiritual experience. We will be in touch with the headmaster Mr. Jeremiah. Twiga Tours were very caring and helped us a lot especially when our flights were delayed due to the unfortunate Nairobi Airpoirt Fire. Rahim, went the extra mile to check on us night and day to ensure we were alright. It is much appreciated. We felt looked after and reassured. Last but not least what we loved best about Africa is the amazing wild life, its people, its simplicity. Its beauty touched our soul. Its towns and villages are poor but very clean. The people live with respect and harmony for the animals around them and a truly hakuna matata attitude. We will go back there again..
